Since we published our blog post on the future of Accrescent, donations have increased dramatically.

According to the rates in that post, we should now be able to fund full-time development through at least May 2026!

Thank you to our community for your monumental support!

Because of you, we can dedicate ourselves fully to our mission of building a modern Android app store focused on security, privacy, and usability.

We recently discovered a large Monero donation was received in the short time after we updated our article's reported income but before it was posted. We've now updated it to reflect this.

We'll post an update soon on what this means for the project. Thank you for your support!

Thanks for your feedback!

We are going with option 3, with a few tweaks.

We may reuse 1,2 or 4 for our Google Play Store listing.

In case you missed it: Accrescent is now mirrored in the GrapheneOS App Store! This helps GrapheneOS users securely and easily obtain Accrescent from a trusted source.

GrapheneOS highly values privacy and security as we do, so we're excited about this collaboration.

Having gone to cancel my #VoiceDream subscription in the #iOS #AppStore while it is still a free trial, they sure do have an interesting list of plans. The monthly subscription options range from £4.99 to £19.99, and the annual options from £49.99 to £119.99. There is also an option labelled "Premium", which is also annually billed, at £79.99.

RFC time! We're working on specifying how Accrescent's repository should look technically.

If you're an app developer who cares about app store features, an Accrescent user, or just interested in our development, leave your comments in the issue below 👇

There will be F-Droid for #iOS as soon as #Apple releases a #FreeSoftware version of it. F-Droid supports free software platforms. That said, F-Droid also provides all tools needed to run an #AppStore, so we welcome the use of our stack to run an app store on other platforms. There has even been externally funded contributions towards making fdroid-based app stores for iOS and a Flutter app that can be built for iOS:

Accrescent 0.16.0 is released! Apps can now include short descriptions, MTE is enabled by default for extra security, and update notifications aren't quite as pesky anymore. See the changelog below 👇

Developers can learn how to add short descriptions to their own apps in our freshly updated documentation. Check it out! accrescent.app/docs/guide/main…

Many iPhone users are asking us to recommend safe authenticator apps. Well, the App Store is making it useless to recommend any app. No matter what you search for, the top hit is almost always an ad for a scam app.
