Imagine you find an internet service that is useful to you. It's provided by a company in another country, but you find them trustworthy. There's a free option, but you consider buying a subscription. The price is significantly lower than e.g. Netflix or Spotify. You find the service is worth the money and you can afford it.

The question is: do you find it unprofessional / unfriendly / bad if the taxes are included in the price, or if they are excluded?

Example for "included":

Example for "excluded":
»1.00 § per month (not including taxes)«
or
»1.00 § per month (not including 0.23 § taxes)«

Note: the question is only about the pricing page. The payment page lists without-tax, tax and with-tax amounts explicitly.

Snap the receipt → auto-detect → assign items → choose tip → done.

How it works

1. Snap or choose a receipt
Take a photo right in the app. Smart edge detection helps you line it up perfectly. Or import a photo from your library.

2. Capture everything automatically
Our specialized AI recognizes the merchant, currency, items, and taxes/extra fees. Everything is clearly organized and fully editable.

3. Split fairly with friends
Add names, tap who had what, and (optionally) select a tip percentage. Paylino calculates the total and each person’s share automatically.

4. Keep every receipt
Your scanned receipts are saved in the app and synced with iCloud, so you can pull them up anytime.

After some deliberation I decided to move my development stack from Windows to Linux.

I've been using windows for over 20 years and always loved it's backwards compatibility and stuff, but recently it has become borderline unusable and gets in the way of my work.

It took me like a single day to configure everything and it just works, and also works better than Windows too! I posted a thread of my reasoning and experience on BS (sorry):

I WILL NOT SIGN the "Stop Killing Videogames" petition and if you're a game developer with half a braincell left in you, you should not as well.

It is a poorly written attempt at a petition by someone who seems to have no idea that games exist outside of AAA/online-only ones.

To all the indie devs out there:

In case you didn't know, I make open source indie games for the blind and visually impared. This means I need high quality sound effects. I'm wondering if any of you fine people have good resources on finding creative commens, and similar, freely usable sound effects that I could put in the repo with my code? I'd love to learn more about that.

For the record, I know about freesound.org, and have even used them on occasion, but finding anything remotely useable on there can be a chore and a half. Contrasted to the simple search and filtering on something like, say, audio jungle. Tips would be greatly appreciated!
