The past few days I've been building a small tool for checking how many members of a given Matrix room support which maximum room version. The idea has been sparked by room version 12 being released, so that one can assess the adoption rate for the new room version and make an educated decision on when to upgrade rooms.

I just hope today won't end up for #Ukraine the way September 29, 1938 ended up for us. Almost 90 years later, the country still hasn't fully healed from it.

Unfortunately, I learnt there is no way how to transfer experience. When I was talking with my Ukrainian friends about mass expulsion of hated enemies (here Sudeten Germans, there Donbas Russians), they had no clue. Everybody has to learn their lesson themselves, I am afraid.

I drew a 4 inch line, resized the image on screen until it matched my tape measure, then drew the 7.5mm bend radius circle (15mm diameter) and so I think this is correct

Making everyone queue round the block is just so regressive (this snake had two kinks so it would fit). In Europe people would be allowed to wait where they want, board when the departure platform is announced and then have their tickets checked on the train.

Random Monday grump: I almost *never* want a program to make a notification noise. I do not want a beep when I receive a new email, a bell when something completes in the terminal, or a bloop when something happens in a web page.
If you work on any program that has notification sounds, please--make silence the default. Notification sounds as options are fine, not as defaults.
This grump brought to you by having to mute several notification sources because I'm on a fresh-ish desktop install.
