I agree, #AntiRacism has to begin with oneself. All of us have been socialized in racist society, as I define racism as an overarching interlocking set of cultural, societal, and economic institutions. We overturn that #socialization as we progress in the anti-racist journey. This requires #mindfulness in observing one's thoughts, reactions, and subtle feelings regarding race. It's not one's fault for being socialized by #racism, but it's one's responsibility to undo it.

But Google's additions ("GApps" & "GServices") are not, they are proprietary – and thus nobody but its devs can tell for sure what they really do under their hoods. Did you know its Google Services send a ping home every 30 seconds – 2 pings per minute, 2880 pings a day? Or what data is collected regularly and sent along? Not all of us are happy with that 😉

You are right. I am too. I react like this because it happens that nontechies are lured into the privacy degoogleisms and start magisking around without knowing the implications AND with the belief that they are securing their devices. Which they are definitely not. This is rarely pointed out, imo.
@yuliyan Noticed that the "Rooting" section in my article is empty? And I still ended up with a degoogled device – without unlocking the bootloader?
To re-use my example: You need a license to drive a car. Sure, you can drive it without a license – but there are good reasons why you should rather not. Same with rooting 🤷♂️ (yeah, no license for that, right – but you should only do it if you know the implications and act accordingly).

These two principles have been there since GNOME 3 was first designed.
@ebassi I mean for consistenct they both have to talk to each other, selecting light mode should make everything including shell and other stuff same .. Otherwise it's all disjointed n inconsistent.. But I digress..
"Consistency" doesn't necessarily imply "everything looks the same regardless of intent". It can also mean: "things look and behave differently to achieve different results". This is one of those cases: the difference is intentional.

Raspberry Pi, jak i Steam Deck to przykłady urządzeń, na których jesteśmy dziś w stanie upchnąć i schować do plecaka całe biblioteki tytułów ze sprzętów naszej młodości. Dla osoby bardzo sentymentalnej (jaką jestem), prezerwacja dzieł powstałych w tamtych czasach to rzecz doprawdy wspaniała ❤️

Również grałem z rodzicami na C64. Jako rodzina chyba najczęściej wspominamy dosyć wciągającą grę Activision "Park Patrol", którą w domu nazywaliśmy grą w kapitana, bo tak mówiliśmy na ratownika w pontonie. Gra miała dość charakterystyczny motyw muzyczny, który ostatnio zagrał dla mnie kolega na akordeonie. Okazuje się, że dość łatwo można go zaaranżować w klimacie muzyki bałkańskiej. Drugą grą, z którą wiąże się dość dużo miłych wspomnień jest "Bozo's Night Out".

Super sprawa, też lubię posłuchać. Ostatnio moim ulubionym contentem do śniadanka jest archiwum starych, szwedzkich audycji radiowych "Syntax Error" z początku tysiąclecia gdzie prezentowane są różne soundtracki z gier i covery w estetyce Chiptune. Ktoś na Subreddicie Chiptunes to udostępnił. Kiedyś nudziło mi się też i próbowałem sobie trochę pograć na trójkątach i prostokątach pod Plogue Chipsounds, ale brak instrumentu dość mocno niszczy zabawę z uwagi na opóźnienia.

@fireborn Could the 'directive' that's wrong be some spaces on an otherwise blank line? Also, the database is just files stored on the VPS disk. If you remove the database container via `docker-compose rm -sf db' you can delete the database files (or, move the database: `cd /home/data/[domain name]` `sudo mv postgres14 postgres14-dodgy` & then restart the db `docker-compose up -d db && docker-compose logs -f db` to see the logs...

Eine größere Bank auf die Anfrage, warum ihre App Firebase Analytics enthält: Das käme automatisch mit, da man ja Firebase Cloud Messaging nutze. Ja, schon – aber es lässt sich mit einem 5-Zeiler (group exclude) in der Gradle config rauswerfen 🤦♂️ Keine Antwort auf den Vorschlag. Keine Pointe. Keine informierte Entscheidung des Nutzers. Aber das wird als DSGVO-konform verkauft.
