Why the everloving fk does Google Sheets keep offering to “Convert to table”?
It *is* a table you godamned slop engine.
And when out of sheer curiosity I choose the option it entirely fks up the actual table that pre-existed.
Please make the slop stop 🙀
📢 #FOSSWarn 1.0.1 is now on F-Droid. This release addresses some issues with the push-notification setup and fixes some bugs.
One crucial bug fix was related to the coordinates of the subscription bounding box. The coordinates (after a subscription has expired and the resubscribe feature was used) might be swapped (so lat is long instead). Please check your subscription and remove it if it is incorrect, and re-add the place. You can check the bounding box by pressing the icon to the left of the place name.
Other improvements are:
- a notification self-check feature
- an easy check to switch between distributors
- bug fix with a parser error with biwapp alerts

"Yes," the wizard fumed, "but the palace have erected magic-cancelling wards."
"Why?"

Be careful, if the product is too secure, the user may be a criminal. This is how some parts of the EU think about security and data protection.
Would still be nice if Tuta supported PGP :)
I know the reasoning why you don't from tuta.com/encryption and they are good reasons, but PGP is what most people are using. 😞

If someone copies another person's post from another platform and pastes it here, should they link to the original, or at least say who they got it from?
Please boost for a better sample size. Thank you!

Don't you understand? If an AI sees my content in training, that's a violation of my human rights, even if that content never directly appears in its output. When a Mastodon users copies my post... they're a Mastodon user, they have the absolute right to do so, and nobody can tell them otherwise.

Just reading up on #DeltaChat and it does look interesting as a possible signal alternative. Even deploying your own relay seems easy too. Anybody here using it and has any positive feedback ? I mean share if you've negative too as it'll all be gratefully received by all.
Delta Chat is a decentralized and secure messenger app 💬 Reliable instant messaging with multi-profile and multi-device support ⚡️ Sign up to secure and interoperable chatmail relays 🥳 Interactive ...delta.chat
A few things #deltachat apps are doing positively different from #Signal apps
- easiest onboarding ever; not depending on phone numbers or other private data
- support for multiple chat profiles/identities
- decentralized servers, not depending on US-based GAFAM etc.
- migration from one app/platform to any other
- easy multi-device support for any chat profile
- developers have chances to get their PRs merged :)
- mini-apps support via webxdc.org
anything missing?

@anedroid unencrypted email use cases have been discussed in the support forum already and the outcome is: our focus is on end-to-end encryption and metadata minimization, along with helping to grow a world-wide federated reliable chatmail relay network run by many 3rd parties.
Instead of sticking to the old 1.58 delta versions it'd likely be better if you recommended your friends to use another email app that directly focuses on unencrypted mail handling if that is what you are looking for.
this is so cool! I ported to #webxdc TIC-80 #fantasy #computer for making, playing and sharing tiny #games
you can import/export files with add/get commands!
with this you can create #retro games in #lua, #fennel, #python, #ruby, #javascript etc and play/share them with friends as in-chat apps in #DeltaChat / #ArcaneChat
I would like to expose the webxdc API to TIC-80 games so they can do networking/multiplayer and send in-chat messages

Yo!
Attached: 1 image created an small #webxdc app for #DeltaChat / #ArcaneChat as a joke to quickly send a "Yo!" or "Bro!" notification to your chat pals! this was inspired by an episode of #SilliconValley https://en.wikipedia.adb (Mastodon)
So, I'm not sure if this was ever supposed to work, but now it definitely doesn't.
When WatchOS 26 came out, I got per-voice settings on my Apple Watch 10 under settings > accessibility > voiceover > speech, then for each voice. I found this very useful, as I use Eloquence on my watch. By turning down the ultra-lows by a ridiculous degree and decreasing the head size, I could make it sound quite a lot better on the internal speaker.
Well, I was playing with betas, and forgot to turn it off. Tonight, my watch updated to WatchOS 26.2, and now the per-voice settings are gone for all voices.
Weirdly, my custom voice, based on Reed, which I called "Freaky Little Eloquence", is still listed in voices on my phone in the Watch app, but not as English (United States), just English, and it no longer seems to be associated with anything, as I can't add it to the rotor. It's just this orphaned, useless voice that still has all those extra sliders.
So, yeah, that's fun. No more freaky little Eloquence for me, I guess.
I recently purchased a Rode Wireless Pro. It's in a box waiting for me to mess with it, but I'm just not feeling it, so maybe later today.
That having been said, one of the silly things I want to do is clip one of the wireless mics to my parents' little dog's collar as he runs around the yard, or something.
"My battery is low and it's getting dark."
This was the final message from NASA Opportunity, sent to Mars for 90 days but wandered for nearly 15 years.
Its final transmission wasn't words, but fading data-summed up on Earth as "My battery is low and it's getting dark."
A poetic farewell from a rover that became more than a machine.
Okay well this is it so far. But I will probably change it all tomorrow:
I will always let you know about the moon
Look at the moon
Can you see the moon from where you are?
I’m walking at dusk and I’m feeling lonely
My kid used to like walking with me
I could talk to him about this perfect moon
Its haunted white-gold glow
An illuminated balloon looming over the hills
But he’s too old to go for walks with his mom
So I send you a message that says
Look at the moon
You say thank you for letting me know about the moon
Mom, I will always tell you about the moon
Because maybe some day I’ll go for a walk
And pull my phone out of my pocket
And then I’ll remember
So instead I will have to just whisper
Look at the moon
Can you see the moon where you are?
Will you find a way to let me know about the moon?
And if I’m very lucky
Maybe one day my kid will
Be walking lonely somewhere
And look at the night sky
And think about me
And send me a message

First time I’ve hunted to find a native ui framework that’s cross platform, accessible, and doesn’t require learning another language to use.
The solution might be separate interfaces in separate frameworks for separate platforms, for the best accessibility experience, because frankly writing my own cross platform UI framework was not part of the brief.
Yes I know flutter exists, no I don’t want to write a minimal system utility in flutter and dart. This thing has to run on any old hardware.
