"powerful adversaries around the world already scoop up encrypted data shared via the internet with the aim of decrypting it once they have access to quantum computers.

For this reason, we need quantum-resistant cryptography now – not in five or fifteen years."

#TutaCom Pioneer also in the acceptance of #Monero, currently the best digital cash. I am seriously considering moving all my email communication! #Tutanota Thank you for raising awareness and taking the lead.

Viz komunita !nicole@feddit.org (feddit.org/c/nicole).

🔐 @Tutanota

Somebody tried to torch the Governor of Pennsylvania's home while he and his family were in it and how that isn't the top story today along with I don't know, a question to Trump as to why he hasn't deployed the FBI to investigate (or called the Governor to check on him) is beyond me.

A scratched Tesla is terrorism. The attempted murder of a Democrat, just fine it seems.

Suspect arrested after arson at Pennsylvania governor’s house forced Shapiro and family to evacuate:

After discovering that digital braille readers can cost up to $20,000, a 14-year-old boy named Yash Mehta has created his own version for less than $50.

He is in the ninth grade and has a passion for engineering and helping others.

UPDATE: After this story was prepared for publication, ICE awarded a new contract worth up to $3.8 billion for this company to operate a migrant detention camp on Fort Bliss — its largest contract yet.

It's the first time ICE is moving ahead with plans to detain thousands of people arrested on U.S. military bases in tents before deportation.

Inside Rümeysa Öztürk’s Journey From Scholar to Trump Target in Louisiana Cell

“So horrifying and so heartbreaking”: Öztürk’s close friend provides an intimate look into one of the hundreds of foreign students who have had their visas revoked — and in dozens of instances have been detained without criminal charges.

in reply to Borris

@BorrisInABox@neurrone@jscholes I have a Mikrotik gateway from back in my bitcoin mining days. They do their own thing, in their own way. If you don't mind taking a course because you're planning to manage hundreds of the things, that's not a problem. But you do need to take the course, and if you're just using one, that seems like a waist of eight hours.

Anyone who is blind, or who has worked with the blind, knows how expensive our technology can be. This couldn't be more true with relation to braille displays. Even the cheapest costs at least $799, and it's already behind the newest in that line, at $899. This is the Orbit Reader 20 and 20+. Now, a student in India wants to change that by creating a display that is truly affordable (under $50)! Please pass this on, so that we can give him greater recognition within the blind community. Even if it costs a bit more than he initially suspected it would, there is no excuse for the $2,000 to $5,000 average price of such technology when cheaper alternatives can be designed! He is determined to bring this to market, so let's help him do it and show our appreciation for his hard work on this life-changing project!

It would be worth his looking at the Sensorica business model:

sensorica.co/ventures

They only work on OSHW, but the people working on the hardware get paid for the designs, and, then use localised manufacturing for the distribution. :D

It gets the overall energy-costs down per end-user, but still means that the engineers involved can get paid a fair rate. :D
