Normally when parsing an xml file, bs4 converts html entities in a piece of text to the character they encode. Ex. given '', `soup.find("item").string` becomes ''.

For the most part I only gain new maintainers when I add such a request to an announcement. During the quite phases I lose sponsors and while a few new sponsors join during the off-season, it's always fewer than those that stop.
This is what I think about whenever infosec wonks on here start telling people they should use matrix or xmpp+omemo or whatnot instead of signal
To be fair, I understand the arguments and to a large extent I agree with the critiques. However, I think anyone making these recommendations is vastly underestimating the capacity or appetite for most people to deal with the user experiences presented by these alternatives.
User experience is the ultimate force multiplier. For anything that requires network effects to function (ie most anything involving communication), if it doesn't *just work* then you've lost 90% of your audience.
FWIW I have got my very non-technical mother (and other non-technical family users) to use Conversations by @daniel without much trouble. Nowadays if people do not care about their phone number being their identifier, quicksy.im is what I recommend.

By using the Proton Mail bridge all data is stored unencrypted in the third party email client. We at Tuta Mail aim for a solution where all data is always stored securely encrypted, even on your own devices. Our desktop clients do exactly that and make the data also available when offline.
Plus, the protocols IMAP and SMTP used by the Bridge are not the most efficient protocols especially when it comes to push notifications or to attachments of emails (which are encoded into the body).
With improving our Tuta Mail desktop clients we serve you much better than by spending time in developing and maintaining three bridges for Linux, Windows and macOS.
Huh? I think it being the exact same face scaled down and blurred suggests it's a real human trying to save time on background details. You can see this in other artwork all the time. AI also wouldn't produce the exact same face.

Not since King of Morning, Queen of Day by Ian McDonald and Angelica by Arthur Phillips has a fantastic mystery had this sort of impact. I was very pleased to see that Dan's managed to do it again, in terms of writing a book without any actual narration, and I was even happier that the table of contents didn't give it away. Whoops? I've spoilered that for you now. I love this chalkboard-style of writing, the idea that this whole work is a huge tapestry of interconnectedness. I enjoyed every page, and I think the ending just clicks so well that, even if it's predictable, it's so hard not to cheer along and want things to fall out.

This encompasses a wide range of marginalized communities, from LGBT people, to sex workers themselves, who seldom live in anything other than deeply precarious conditions throughout their lives.
You may have seen this as a thread on Mastodon (my primary social short-form platform) or on BlueSky. Imagine these as the opening to a series of conversations between a vendor or client or boss or PO or whomever and me.

Ináč přehazovačka mi niekde v strede prehadzuje samovoľne prevod a keď idem cez hrboly tak občas aj sama prehodí, neviem prečo.
Mám ale taký pocit že mi vydrží tak rok až dva lebo ho vôbec nešetrím.

@Syclood we sometimes have to to make sure spammers can't sign up. As we do not ask for phone numbers to protect your privacy upon registration, it's more difficult to stop malicious sign-ups. We hope you understand!
