I have configured #Thunderbird to send ~all~ messages in plain text. So why is there a formatting ribbon when I reply to a mail? 🤔

PSA: If you're using a #Hotmail or #Outlook email with #Thunderbird and getting "unusual sign-in activity" alerts, you're not alone.

This appears to be an issue on Microsoft's end, and is being actively investigated.

After about 15 years of using Mutt for all my email needs, Matrix support in the new Thunderbird 102 release lead me to give it a try again.

While the Matrix support (beta!) is still pretty crude, it works even with encryption. Not bad and I have to admit that the rest of the application looks/works pretty well too. Maybe it's time to return to a GUI e-Mail client for a while. We'll see

Both are important for me to sync my business calendar and contacts with TB into my Nextcloud-WebDav-Calendar. After upgrading I can't go back to TB-Version 91, because the profile (database ...) won't be able to downgrade: So you have to make a backup of your profile BEFORE upgrading!
