Is it fine? It might produce safe food, but what are the other effects? Is “spray drift” a bigger or smaller problem with roundup-ready? I know GMO leakage was a problem. GMO’s may be safe to eat, but do they become next year’s weed? Or weeds for neighbouring fields? How much do they mix with non-GMO crops?

I’m ill informed so I appreciate the information, and I want to know more. I learn a lot about farming by following @sarahtaber

This is something I’ve seen black folks especially highlight is a belief in a “right to comfort” that upholds white supremacy. That people—especially white people—will only act as long as they don’t experience discomfort. I’ve seen folks unironically say that they think it’s unreasonable for allyship to mean giving up anything. If your allyship only exists within the bounds of your comfort, it is functionally worthless. Growth and change happen outside the comfort zone

Objevil jsem teď pro zakládání eventů v rámci #fediverse službu gath.io. Vypadá to hodně zajímavě. Funguje to tak, že to pro event vytvoří account (s náhodě vygenerovaným handlem), kde je popis eventu. Pokud mu z Mastodonu dáte follow, tak vám přes DM pošle anketu, jestli se zúčastníte, nebo ne. A taky vám to přes DM posílá notifikace o updatech apod. V rámci Friendicy (příp. jinýho softu, kterej podporuje Event activity) by se to mělo chovat jako klasickej event (podobně jako na FB).

One of my posts here gained popularity in the #Flathub vs. traditional #Linux distributions debate and I still stand by my claim that @flathub enforces its rules more strictly than Linux distributions and checks maintainers more thoroughly. None of my #Fedora packages have ever been held for review after being accepted into the repositories.
Even though it's a complication for me as a maintainer, I approve it.

So, helloo #Hear-me.Social. an #Introduction is in order, I feel. I’m Jakob. I work as an accessibility consultant, meaning I train and educate companies and people on how to make their products and services more human friendly for everyone, including people with disabilities. I am blind since birth, which has brought me to work within the disability advocacy sector, particularly through Estonian Blind Union, where I am the president. I’m also an audio nerd.
