If anyone uses Android with TalkBack and the onscreen Braille keyboard, please try to reproduce and report this issue:
In Talkback, if onscreen keyboard echo is set to words, and a word with punctuation after it is typed, TalkBack does not read the word when Space is typed. Similarly, if an emoticon is typed, like ":)" nothing is spoken when Space is typed.
Steps to reproduce:
• Turn on TalkBack, and open TalkBack settings by tapping once with three fingers. Set up the TalkBack Braille keyboard under the Braille section. • Go to Verbosity settings, then the keyboard echo option for onscreen keyboards, and set it to "words." Now, open a text box, turn on the TalkBack Braille Keyboard, and type something like "this is a test." Note the period after test. Then, swipe right with one finger to enter a space.
Expected results:
TalkBack should read "this" "is" "a" "test period."
Actual results:
TalkBack reads "this" "is" "a" and is silent after test is written.
I also put it up on Google's issue tracker if anyone wants to start it.

Digital fingerprinting has been around for a while, did google not use it? Or did it not allow others to have access to their data collected this way?
Fingerprinting.. some types can be easily circumvented, others are more painful. But yeah, librewolf + ublockorigin is decent. Chameleon is an extension specifically for spoofing your browser and OS info, it can add delay to key presses so keypress data becomes useless, etc. But having too many extensions also makes you stand out, so that has to be balanced.
1. Use non-chromium browser and block 3rd party scripts & frames + google domains via ublock origin (enable some of it back for a specific site if it gets too broken); 2. Do not use gmail, google search, google drive or any other of their services; 3. Watch youtube videos from alternative front-end solutions (like piped, vanced, grayjay, invidious, etc - until they get blocked); 4. Use de-googled smartphones with f-droid store (or at least with microg + aurora store); etc. #fightback

I wonder if digital fingerprinting could be thwarted with a browser that picks a bunch of the parameters that trackers use to identify people, and then lies about them randomly.

Not that I doubted the post or other users’ comments but I was curious if my current browser is doing similar things like FF or librewolf and what Erklarbar said about fingerprinting was echoed by the vivaldi team some years ago. Although it’s recognized as a chrome browser, that info coupled with the os, language, and time zone (not to mention a number of customizations I’ve made to the ui) I’m definitely easily identifiable 😰☠️

Wow, I shouldn't have to dig up old emails from 2004/2005 to prove I was a member of the project. I just lost all respect I had for the Apache Software Foundation as a whole. And when people complain about "open source being bad," well, Exhibit A right there. I have much more respect for The Document Foundation and LibreOffice now. You guys are awesome.

Wow, for CVE-2021-33035 beyond just the difference in time when it was fixed, the differing commit messages and implementations speak volumes to the overall code quality and amount of care being put in.
Apache should just take down open office, or redirect the site to libre office.
For some reason people still seem to remember the open office name as an alternative to MS Office, and then download and install it. I had to direct a few people to use libre office instead.

Finally, I have managed to make an hybrid ISO live image of GNOME OS that uses the same UKI and /usr partition as the main image. That is without using dracut. So now we will be able to test GNOME OS on Boxes without going through the installation.
