A Windows user, a Mac user, and a Linux user walk into a bar.

➡️ The #Windows user orders a beer and gets into a fight over how bloated the selection is.

➡️ The #Mac user orders the most expensive single-origin craft cocktail and smugly admires its minimalist design.

➡️ The #Linux user installs a whole brewery in the corner and declares free drinks for everyone, but then spends the rest of the night explaining why their homemade brew is objectively superior.

I have to explore that use of DT further as it seems pretty niche and obscure (people on the forum didn't make such a topic before) but I am confident it can be done and it can help.
4. Paperwork: I have many invoices, serial numbers, contracts, acts and many other legal stuff. Everyone does but the problem with me is that I am helping some others with their paperwork. With advanced organization capability of DT I can very easily see which paper belongs to whom and whether I have already filled it, whether its a template that I can reuse over and over to ask my dear government for a piece of bread or whatever else that comes to mind. Another awesome thing is the automatic OCR feature, I have set up a simple smart rule which automatically OCRs every non-textual PDF, and since DT interfaces with Finereader's engine the results is very good, I would dare to say its better than the official Finereader for Mac, but that is subjective, might be inaccurate or accurate only in certain scenarios, be ware.
I have just wrote four things that came to mind otherwise this would become the second Bible, but the tool has endless use cases. Its not cheap and its not for everyone, but if you want to try it it has a very fair trial. If you have any questions, let me know. Let's learn DEVON Think together!

Funny Reddit thread about Tim Cook's comment: "the Mac is the best computer for AI." Apple fanboys defend it with unified ram, and Apple haters attack with Nvidia GPU speed. lol #ML #AI #Apple #Mac https://www.reddit.com/r/LocalLLaMA/comments/1b2h5st/tim_cook_speaks_about_ai_at_the_apple_shareholder/

Someone who uses fish on the latest MacOS, please help out. Every time I try to use it, every time brew does not work, and it's not found and therefore, I am stuck. I just switched from zsh. #Mac #Apple #Fish #Terminal #Help

Anyone using the #Discord app for #Mac having a problem where the Discord updater loads and then just crashes over and over again, thus causing Discord itself not to load?

Aargh: #Dropbox users on #Mac: you probably don't want to do the thing that the Dropbox app is trying to make you do with its "migration" thing.

Up until now, Dropbox files tended to live as regular files in $HOME/Dropbox. Now they live in $HOME/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox and are inaccessible to terminal users. Guess I can't use Dropbox as a free sync service any more.

(also: why Mac OS doesn't allow me full access to files in $HOME ... these are *my* files)

I found an extremely interesting and fun #Mac #app called #soundpaste. The idea is that you watch a video and if you hear something interesting you press the hotkey at the beginning of this thing and then you press the hotkey again and the audio is automatically copied to your CLipboard, ready to paste in Protools or whatever other DAW. It can record system audio without system driver, so that's a plus.

Are there any #Linux distributions with #Speakup in them that work on the new #mac machines in #vmare or #utm? I tried #debian 12 and under this distro Speakup froze up at random intervals and locked up the vm. I am starting to think that two different physical machines may be the best for me. #arm64 with #accessibility features doesn't seem to be stable enough yet for prime time.

Hello! I would like to invite everyone to join the #Accessible #Apple community on Discord. This server is dedicated to current and future #blind and/or #VisuallyImpaired users of #iPhone, #Mac, #Apple Watch and other #Apple products who would like to get the most out of their devices. If that's something you are interested in, give us a shot!!
https://discord.gg/vfKyEBmXNb
Now to some FAQ that I guess will be asked over and over.
Q: There's only one administrator and that's you.
A: Yeah, but there's no point as there's literally noone else there, yet.
Q: Where are the rules?
A: They are not existent yet. Just please be a human.
Q: What's the point if there's AppleVis?
A: AppleVis was, and still is a great resource if it comes to stuff like APp directories, curated list of resources, podcasts ETC, however the forum features are suboptimal, especially for mobile usage. I have spoken to many people who are newcomers to the #Apple ecosystem and using the AppleVis website turned out to be harder than using their shiny new device itself.

Please keep in mind that the server is in a test stage, many things can happen, including channel deletions/additions, moderation appointments or server deletion in case there's no real interest. If you have any suggestions how could I improve it or if you would like to help me moderate, please reach out.
I kindly ask everyone to boost it to gauge interest. #accessibility #a11y #blind

If you're a #blind #Mac user, you may have never found a use for that bizarre combination of keys which is VO+Shift+F3. this disables cursor-tracking. Let me show you why this may in fact, be one of #VoiceOver's best hidden features you didn't know about.

Super post from @SaraSoueidan on how to set up a screen reader testing environment.

https://www.sarasoueidan.com/blog/testing-environment-setup/

Sara, do you or anyone else know of a way test VoiceOver on Mac if we don't have access to a Mac? One of the perennial frustrations in the web industry is the assumption we're all on Macs. For many, Macs are well out of our budget ranges, but we still want to do the best we can with the tools at hand. Any advice?
