Great video! I just feel the whole thing has been very poorly communicated. What @ryanleesipes is doing here Mozilla should have been doing from the very beginning. We're a fairly big Firefox redistributor and there has been no communication towards us. And it does make people nervous here.

BTW is there any particular reason why the video is only 720p on PeerTube and 1080p on YouTube?

Some good news about #Mastodon, there has been a very significant bit of code added which will automatically fetch all the replies in a thread. This means everyone will be able to see a thread's whole conversation no matter which server they are on! 🥳

The code has just been "merged" which means it should become available in the next update to Mastodon, hopefully within the next few months.

Navrhnite teda nejakú pesničku ktorú by sme poslali na Lemmyvision 2. V skratke:

  • Musí byť z minulého alebo tohoto roku (vydaná po 1. januári 2024)
  • Nesmie byť medzinárodný hit (toho sa asi báť nemusíme)

A pridám aj subjektíny nápad odomňa:

  • myslime na to, že pesničku bude počúvať a hodnotiť medzinárodné publikum. Možno by teda bolo lepšie, aby pesnička nestavala len na silnom texte ale musí to proste zaujať aj bez znalosti slovenského jazyka. Vžime sa do toho, čo si z tej ktorej pesničky vezme Nemec, Švéd či Portugalec

This commit on #Mastodon adds a new feature called "Fetch all replies"to the backend. This is an important step forward.
