Actually, since you have the APK, couldn't you extract it with something like APK Extractor? I don't have it here yet... I'm sure some Google Play restriction will not play along, but who knows...

@sri @cassidy well, I received meaningless boilerplate answer on July 2 (screenshot below), and @cassidy replied yesterday that the case was resolved on July 2. Which is obviously not: the request for the follow-up has come in silence since then.

My current instance has been having a lot of connectivity issues lately. I would love to transfer instances, but does anybody know if I can bring my post and other media with me? Will I lose them forever?
The only thing that you can migrate is your followers and the people you’re following. Your posts, media, profile description and fields, and pretty much everything else does not transfer. I’ve heard there are programs that try to transfer those things, but I’ve also heard those don’t work very well.
I'm afraid not currently. You keep your followers and follows, bookmarks, lists, and blocks, but you start with fresh history.
As usual, @FediTips has excellent information on transferring to another instance. Basically, everything on their site (and in the masto feed) is gold.

There's a first time for everything. Just had to deny a registration request on the official OctoPrint plugin repository as the plugin the author tried to register turned out to be pretty much completely vibe coded. And in the end, even their communication seemed to be the output of an LLM.
Unbelievably bad quality: tons of bugs, dead code, (future) vulnerabilities, ... I honestly haven't yet seen this amount of shittiness from a human developer, no matter how clueless.
I'm a Google Workspace admin, and a team member sent me a screenshot showing that a message they wanted to send was being blocked because it violated an organizational policy-- which was news to me-- I hadn't put in place to block messages based on their content.
Turns out Google Workspace now warns by default when the message content mentions gender identity.

I received this new wireless mechanical keyboard that works great. However, in order to get home, end, page up, and page down to work you have to use the function key in conjunction with one, seven, three, and nine on the number pad on the keyboard. My problem is, NVDA interprets these keys as numbers on the keypad rather than home and page up and page down. Does anyone know of a way to stop NVDA from interpreting these keys or possibly using something like sharp keys to reap the keys with other modifier keys to perform the same function? Hope this all makes sense. I like the keyboard other than this. My problem is, I'm not sure that sharp keys would take a key in conjunction with a modifier layer two interpret the key differently. I think the flaw is within NVDA itself, and not so much the keyboard. The keyboard only has a 90% key layout so I'm limited and cannot reap other keys to perform these functions. I guess I really need to figure out how to bypass NVDA to perform these functions on a keyboard by keyboard basis, which makes the whole process much more complicated overall. Am I through breaking your brain yet?
If there are some keys which you don't use you can remap end home page up and down to those keys with sharpkeys. othervise, maybe autohotkey should help

- Navigate to Privacy Centre. On Facebook this will be under "settings and privacy". On Instagram this will be under "settings and activity"->"more info and support".
- In the privacy centre, search for "more detailed information about meta's generative AI models" and select it.
- Scroll down to "Your right to object", open and click "Learn more and submit requests here" which open the objection form.
- Do note that this form asks for yet more personal information about you, rather than just linking your objection with your account :/

I've downloaded windows 11 iso image from microsoft download site to find out narrator can no longer be started using ctrl+windows+enter. Do you know which image to download so I can independently install windows for a friend with a screen reader?
It turns out there are patched windows 11 images around restoring narrator functionality. Here is such an image I have found. Does anyone know what's modified? At first it sounds shady however it really seems to work.
Uh oh, I don't think I'd want to run my personal computer with an ISO downloaded from blindhelp. Rather use an older ISO with Narrator functionality and update afterwards...
@Jonathan If you know which iso and where to download it from I would prefer that as well, however according to my internet searches narrator not being available on windows 11 setup is known for almost two years now.
@jonathan859 The issue mentioned was fixed in Build 7019 of Windows 11. Tried it myself on build 7171. Not by installing from the ISO but I reinstalled it so pretty much the same anyway.

@jonathan859 The links you sent are cut off. Also, I cannot really help you unfortunately. All I know is that after build 7019 Narator should work - at least by resetting from the settings. Alternatively, just use a 24h2 iso from the Internet Archive. It's really easy to find and you safely can use it (I did so too). Also the upgrading process to 25h2 is fairly easy.
Maybe you can enable it here schneegans.de/windows/unattend… I see here checkbox automatically start narrator during windows setup and after logon. I don't have own experience
I finally started to use #NextCloud #CookBook app together with the android companion app. Up until now I always searched internet for recepies, picked one, coocked one, done. But using this app improves the workflow a lot. 1️⃣ You search the recipe once, and then you past the url to the app to download it. 2️⃣ You build a catalogue of favourite recipes which simplyfies decisions on what to cook. No idea what to cook? Just browse favourite recipes and pick something. 3️⃣ You can share recipes among family members 4️⃣ Your recipe is always with you. For example when you're shopping. 5️⃣ No ADS. Recipe pages are cluttered with banners and popups so much, that you can barely read the recipe on the phone. Cookbook just fetches the information from the web and leaves all ads behind.
@jackc So far every recipe website worked. It seems like it uses some semantic tags like schema.org to parse the info form website. I just edit the category I want the recpe in and sometimes number of servings if it is missing.
@jackc I'm using it for my 3 recipes :D but unfortunately companion app already let me down two times. It logouts on Android from time to time and when I need to cook, I don't want to search for nextcloud login...
Btw. it seems to me like really bad design to have to login into more applications on mobile, when I already have main app. I hope this will improve in future.
