Weird story. How can they write this shit with a straight face? There are people walking around every city with leaf blowers kicking up all the dust and particulates and somehow nobody cares about that air pollution?

Yesterday we saw 161 different versions of #curl make just over 1 million requests to www.bbc.co.uk & www.bbc.com.

The oldest version is 7.0.0 (1 request).
The newest version is 8.15.0 (18,969 requests).

I'd spotted a load of different cURL versions in something else so was curious how many versions we see.

The last time I saw my aunt in person, we both tried to shove $100 into the other person’s hands at the same time. It was the same note, and we laughed and exchanged the notes.

I guess the exception to the gifting thing is I could probably have bought her a food gift. Like something really special.

But giving a consumer item would be very weird.

There’s something there around giving moms / aunts jewellery or handbags, maybe, but like ‘I’m going to give you a ticket to this event’ or ‘I am going to give you a random candle or sock’ would probably be met with confusion.

Anyway, American gift giving culture is really confusing to me and I have never once sat down to think ‘I wonder what this person would want!!’

#Catima 2.37.0 is out!

This release features a redesigned logo, kindly contributed by il-Luca (github.com/il-Luca) and Aeven-Dev (github.com/aeven-dev).

The redesign was kept very close to the original design from TangentFoxy (github.com/TangentFoxy), to try to not affect people's ability to recognize the app in their app drawer.

Coming soon to an app store near you.

What's the best modern Python library for generating a valid HTML5 document programmatically from scratch, with proper document structure and a consistent approach to escaping? lxml? BeautifulSoup4? Something else?

In this clip, i install some APH programs from my childhood! Mathflash, and Talking typer! I had some technical issues, making this take longer than expected! I only used the trial versions, as i don't have a key, however, that dosn't detract from the fun anyways! First, i look at Mathflash. I suck at math, so i got that over with as quickly as possible, inorder to not imbarrass myself.
The second program in the cue was my favorite APH program, Talking Typer! The vertual nightmare of almost every child that used it! I think i can say i have more respect for it than i had 7 years ago! I played some hurry scurry, and failed misserably, yet seemed to have a good time reguardless of that. I also discovered that the go, application, and tools menus work in the trial version on older versions of Windows, compared to my experience on Windows 11, when i left it unregistered. None of the menus showed, leaving me to believe that they updated the program for modern windows at some point. It turns out, they did back in 2020, and they did post about that on there official youtube channel.
You can find it hear.
