Only one thing on everyone’s mind? The genocide being carried out by Israel against the Palestinian people? No? Oh, a song contest sponsored by Israel that Israel is using to whitewash its genocide. Ah, my bad, sorry.

Enjoy your entertainment.

Happy Global Accessibility Awareness Day everyone. The third edition of Personal Power: Getting The Most from iOS as a Totally Blind User is ready for your enjoyment free to all. If you want to use an iPhone without looking at it other than to show it your face, this is how it's done. michaelfeir.blogspot.com/2025/… #GAAD

@cachondo Thanks. I appreciate your saying so. It always feeels strange since nobody in my closer circle of friends and family really benefits directly. For the most part, they have an incomplete sense of what I've done. They know I've worked hard on it and that the book really helps other people. I can usually help with any tech troubles my family and friends might experience, but that's about as far as it goes. (1/2)

#Catima 2.35.0 is out!

This release lets you further tweak the barcode size in the fullscreen view and slightly improves barcode finding reliability when scanning or loading a barcode from an image or PDF file. It also fixes a crash when trying to load a pkpass file without a barcode in it.

Coming soon to an app store near you :)

@albi @martin Stačí oživit původní prvorepublikový zákon a trochu jej zmodernizovat. Máš volný byt? Obec má právo ti tam dát za garantované nájemné nájemníka a zároveň má povinnost ručit za škodu, kterou by ti mohl způsobit.
Obec by tedy platila pronajímateli nájem odpovídjící místně příslušnému průměru, nájemníka by si kontrolovala a majitel by měl jistý příjem a garanci náhrady případných škod.
A pokud to nechceš, navýšit obec daň z nemovitosti.

Mám 49-55 a zdravý rozhodně nejsem, myšleno kardiovaskulární systém.
A fyzičku rozhodně nemám.
Ono je to totiž mnohem složitější.

"Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents lied to federal judges about the reasons they needed warrants to enter the homes of Columbia University students and arrest them, according to attorneys investigating the matter."

According to the allegation, the warrant application was a "pretext" so they could "try to arrest two students, including one green card holder, in order to deport them."

I just published my new instrumental called "Sea Time, the Sound Waves of Marbella" (for now on Youtube only).

It's almost time for Global Accessibility Awareness Day and I can finally share my thesis in an accessible format 🎉

Due to the mandatory template used, the thesis PDF is not accessible. So there was no way I was going to share it with the world. It took a year, but I managed to create a website with an #accessible #version of the 160-pages thesis on #AccessibilityOverlays, and some additional content!

You can find it here: overlays.dnikub.dev

mature HBM is 6.5-7% lactose per Su Yeong, Yong Yi. “Components of human breast milk: from macronutrient to microbiome and microRNA.” CEP doi:10.3345/cep.2020.00059 while this is 6% fructose. I also hate america, its lack of healthly food options and recreational spaces. Along with Gerber for lots of reasons. But fear of sugar and fat phobia don't help. Simple carbohydrates from natural sources are good for you.

A bit under a year ago, my friend Michael Sheppard and I released our first album. I'm super excited to present our second album, Toward Hope.

As much as I admire the work of the LetsEncrypt team, making a policy change that effectively raises the cost of competitive and independent agency at the behest of a browser team that's at risk of being split off from their corporate sponsors specifically because of anticompetitive behavior in the domain of that agency... this might be technically justifiable, but it's not the right decision for an organization being run for the public's benefit.

NASA engineer Ed Smylie, who helped keep the Apollo 13 astronauts alive using a combination of a spacesuit hose, sock, plastic bag, cue cards and duct tape, has died at age 95. Four hours after the explosion that tore through Apollo 13 in 1970, Smylie became concerned that the crew would suffocate due to the accumulation of carbon dioxide in the air. He and his team of 60 came up with a plan, tested it and explained to Jim Lovell, Fred Haise and Jack Swigert how to build it during their emergency trip back to Earth. Smylie, who died in late April, received a Presidential Medal of Freedom for his service to the space program. Here's more from @Spacecom.

What is my stance on the Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses? It's good, helpful, and a more affordable assistive technology device than what's currently available... but it has it's challenges... I have never thought of connecting it to WhatsApp and using ChatGPT with it! Thanks Tim Dixon for sharing lots of insights! ⬇️

🚀 Voyager 1 isn’t done yet — not even close 🧠🔧📡

NASA just pulled off another miracle save:
🛰️ The spacecraft’s primary roll thrusters, offline since 2004, were believed permanently dead
🧯 With backup thrusters at risk of failure, JPL engineers gambled on a high-stakes heater reset
🔥 If wrong, it could’ve caused a small onboard explosion
📡 If right, it would restore control — 15.6 billion miles from Earth

They were right. The thrusters fired. Voyager 1 can still hold its course.

This wasn’t a reboot. It was old-school problem-solving, deep systems knowledge, and the audacity to trust an idea that might just work.

The most distant human object is still flying — because a team believed it could.

Welcome to the RB family, QRServ 🥳

apt.izzysoft.de/packages/dev.u…

QRServ takes any selected file on your device and makes it available through its own HTTP server at an unused port number. The selected file can then be downloaded via web browser on another device or software that allows file downloads over HTTP from QR codes.

This was made possible thanks to the efforts by its author – and thanks to his SteamDeck running our RB framework :awesome:

I thought 7€ on this kit would be a good splurge because I've been meaning to sew my own handbags and this way, I naïvely assumed, there would be a ready-made set of tools and clear instructions. but the instructions are wordless and I'm already stumped. unlike the zipper pictured mine has these little tails that make it jut out from the trim band, should I fold them? cut them out? sew them as is? am I supposed to sew the head or the tail of the zipper? does it make a difference? aah
