I joined the #fediverse back in the days because I wanted an alternative. A real alternative. With a fundamentally different approach. Decentralised. Even when it hurts. (federation and decentralisation is complicated!) And I think we are on the right track. What bothers me are the people that want the Fediverse to be 1:1 copycat of centralised services and as that isn't the case declare it to be a failed experiment. I'll stay here. It's better. Is all.
Objevil jsem teď pro zakládání eventů v rámci #fediverse službu gath.io. Vypadá to hodně zajímavě. Funguje to tak, že to pro event vytvoří account (s náhodě vygenerovaným handlem), kde je popis eventu. Pokud mu z Mastodonu dáte follow, tak vám přes DM pošle anketu, jestli se zúčastníte, nebo ne. A taky vám to přes DM posílá notifikace o updatech apod. V rámci Friendicy (příp. jinýho softu, kterej podporuje Event activity) by se to mělo chovat jako klasickej event (podobně jako na FB).
Přidal jsem na #VHSky další dva kanály z #Fediverse: U kanálu pachichu@makertube.net můžete spokojeně prokrastinovat při sledování kreslení a jiné tvorby janbeta@makertube.net zase opravuje elektroniku, takže se u něj můžete leccos přiučit.

His credit cards are maxed at thousands of dollars and about to go into collections. His Renter's Insurance has just increased their price, and he's $150 behind on that, and his apartment complex requires the insurance, and could kick him out if he is without it. Additionally, he is $508 behind on his Internet/cell bill, and they are threatening to cut his services. Have the easiest way to check out the back end. If I remember well, #weingaertner-it gives you the option of a monthly rent. So, suppose a 3 month "trail test"of friendica. That would be 15 euro. How much is an hour of your time worth? Setting up your own server means at least 8 hours of time, in over all terms. Clicking a weingaertner setup and redirecting your subdomain to them for a testride should be like an hour. If you follow thru with friendica, your personal server setup, profiles and created content wont be a lost effort as you take all of that with the DB onto your existing hosting package.

S ohledem na to, že mi na každej inzerát na #bazoš už reagujou jen boti se nabízí otázka - máme někde federovanej #bazar, kterej by to řešil? Nějakej #marketplace na #fedi by totiž vůbec nebyl od věci, hashtagy jsou imho celkem málo
Samozřejmě bych mohl udělat skupinu, ale to nepovažuju za alternativu opravdovýho bazárku
