In fact, I learnt a lot about how #Thunderbird and @mozilla are actually related, and I always thought it's a hardwired #Mozilla product just like #Firefox.

I'm really looking forward to the improvements in Supernova and also future updates to #K9Mail. I used to be a #GMail user but ran into performance problems on older devices and under bad networking conditions. Not a problem for good old #IMAP! :)

#Chromium landed support for fractional scaling on #Wayland a couple of days ago. It was reverted again today. Reason for revert: This change completely broke Chromium Ozone/Wayland on compositors that support fractional-scale-v1.

Nobody had ever tested it and the authors missed the whole actual scaling part with wp_viewporter.

Anyhow, here's a working initial patch for #Firefox:

Ping @Mozilla : le problème n'est pas limité à Google/Chrome mais aussi à #Firefox qui se base sur cette super techno de "Safe Browsing" qui flag les serveurs auto-hébergé sans aucune transparence sur le pourquoi exact (et pas que ceux avec #YunoHost) ... Ce serait cool si vous pouviez vous aussi faire pression de votre côté pour arrêter cet enfumage et garder un web libre et ouvert

Wow, so the other day I shared what #Microsoft does when you search to download #Firefox from #Edge* but they go one step further for #Chrome.

(I have zero love for either surveillance capitalist but, my goodness, what absolute asshattery. Having spent more time than I’d like testing in #Windows these past two days, I constantly feel like some malevolent entity is trying to exploit me at every turn. Because one is. This OS is a case study in hostile #design.)

Here's a very early implementation of #Firefox Sync running in Thunderbird Daily!

The bones are there and the foundation is solid.

Though it may be called something else by the time we launch it in Thunderbird 115 (such as Thunderbird Sync or #Mozilla Sync), it's a feature we're THRILLED about putting in your hands.

I’m not going to use bloody bugzilla, so if anyone from Mozilla sees this, your enterprise flow for adding certificate authorities (CAs) to Firefox on Linux fails on Fedora Silverblue.

Since Fedora Silverblue is seen as the possible future of Fedora/Red Hat, you folks might want to talk to the Fedora folks about it and come up with a solution.

Wonderful holidays and a happy new year!
🎄🍭🎅🎁☃️ 🍾🥂🎆

I wish you all the best for the next year #Thunderbird 🐦. And now have a nice time with your friends the #Firefox 🦊 and the #Mozilla 🦖😀

To all #blind #ScreenReader users on various platforms who use #Firefox: The project to speed up web page and screen reader interaction, code-named Cache-The-World, is now at a phase where in Nightly 109, it has been enabled for all users. So if you spot anything that is unusual or not working as before, please let the #accessibility team know. Next step is an experiment for 50% roll-out on Windows in the 111 beta.

The page where you can track the progress is here: wiki.mozilla.org/Accessibility…

Back to #Firefox I go! Multi-Account Containers are a killer #privacy feature that only Firefox (and maybe derivatives) has access to.

There's some helper add-ons to further silo #Facebook, #Twitter, and #Google. (That said, I use my own containers for Google to split my accounts)

Twitter: addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firef…

November 9, 2004 (exactly 18 years ago), Mozilla Foundation releases the highly anticipated Mozilla Firefox 1.0 web browser, blog.mozilla.org/press/2004/11….

A new stable update is available to all #ManjaroARM users today.
It brings in updates to a lot of #qt libraries, new #firefox , new #thunderbird and other goodies!

if only #firefox didn't become such a shitty experience... Thanks, #mozilla /s

The default resolution is too dense on the Pinebook Pro, so I had to:

gsettings set org.gnome.mutter experimental-features "['scale-monitor-framebuffer']"

And then set it to 150% in the display settings.

If you do that and use Firefox, it will appear blurry so edit the firefox.desktop file (/usr/share/applications/org.mozilla.firefox.desktop) and change the exec line to:

Exec=env MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 firefox %u

Mastodon – Simplified Federation by @rugk makes remote follows less cumbersome by automatically entering your Mastodon account details and puts that functionality where it should be: in your browser.

You can get it for Firefox from:

addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firef…

#mastodon #remoteFollow #federation #usability #tip #firefox #extension

And, just a little bit later, back in #Firefox and #thunderbird I've managed to:

1. Quickly get my email down to under 20 messages in my inbox.

2. Find a tab manager that actually makes more sense than #viv aldi

⚠️ Avoid #Chromium-based browsers: Websites can detect what addons are installed by fetching their web-accessible resources. Try yourself: z0ccc.github.io/extension-fing…

This is yet another possible way of #tracking users all across the internet. However, there's a simple solution: Just use #Firefox.

Since the IDs of Firefox extensions are unique for every user, it is not possible to know or guess the addresses of their web-accessible resources.
