ArcaneChat (previously known as #DeltaLab) an alternative Delta Chat client for #Android is now available in official F-Droid store!

Shout out to AccessNow folks and @Xeniax who helped to convince Meta to unblock #deltachat invite URLs in Facebook. Previously delta invite-links on Facebook were marked as "dangerous" and didn't work.
sidenote: if you send someone an invite-link, they can click it directly after they installed Delta Chat because they will be guided through the "create-profile" flow automatically and then be dropped into a chat with the inviter.

I think my preference for IM might be going to #Deltachat for now. I dislike that Signal wants a phone number and is centralized and won't let F-Droid build and distribute a client. Also, I've been using Matrix and operating a server for years and I was a fool it's bad and I want to quit.
Deltachat works with any email account and uses it for everything, it's basically E2EE chat over IMAP and SMTP using a subset of OpenPGP. It's simple, FOSS, works fine, has stickers!

I'm currently working on a new npm package that will replace deltachat-node (which is still based on the cffi and NAPI).
The new npm package will make use of the #reproducible buildable deltachat-rpc-server binaries, which will make cross compiling much easier.
A nice side-effect to this is that the new npm packet is even somewhat compatible with #deno
Nice work on the part of Deno for their node compatibility!
