Ich hatte hier vor einiger Zeit im Rahmen der letzten #TwitterExodus -Wellen auf andere Social Media Plattformen im Kontext des #Fediverse hingewiesen, u.a. auf Firefish.

Leider wurde da die Entwicklung eingestellt, aber der #Misskey -Fork #Sharkey (joinsharkey.org) ist dafür umso aktiver. (Wie alle anderen Projekte, die #ActivityPub nutzen, föderiert auch Sharkey problemlos mit #Pixelfed oder #Mastodon.)

Wer das mal austesten möchte: federation.network/ oder sharkey.world/ bieten einen einfachen Einstieg.

Was ich an der Software besonders interessant finde, sind die Funktionen "Antennen" und "Kanäle".

Je heterogener das Fediverse wird, was die verwendeten Plattformen angeht, desto weniger Sorgen muss man sich um das Erreichen einer kritischen Masse machen. Die lokale Timeline mag dünn aussehen, aber die föderierten oder globalen Timelines sind dafür aktiv.

In den 40er oder 50iger Jahren wurde das kleine Häuschen mit natürlichen und nachhaltigen Materialien aus der #Region gebaut. Dazu zählte auch die Farbe für den Sims/ Ringanker. Sie wurde in der nahegelegenen Stadt aus Naturmaterialien hergestellt. Diese #Farbenfabrik gibt es schon lange nicht mehr, aber ein Enthusiast knüpft an diese Tradition an.
Ich freue mich über den strahlenden Anstrich, den man damals Saalfelder Ocker nannte.

Also @Tutanota , as a privacy focused company, why are your comments run on #Reddit, rather than the #Fediverse? Most privacy minded folks don't want their comments being used by AI LLM's etc.

"Who cares?" war das Motto der diesjährigen re:publica. @marcelweiss stellte dort in einem Panel diese Frage völlig berechtigt in Bezug auf das #Fediverse. Wer kümmert sich um die weitere Entwicklung der offenen, protokollbasierten Kommunikation? #ActivityPub ist das dritte, neueste und spannendste standardisierte "Social-Protocol" neben E-Mail und RSS. Wird Europa wieder mal der Geburtsort von etwas, das dann in den USA erst groß wird? Marcel Weiß stellt da genau die richtigen Fragen. Leider vor fast leeren Publikumsrängen. Auch das zeigt einfach, dass kaum jemand - nicht mal die deutsche Hauptstadt-Intelligenzia - im Ansatz kapiert, wie wichtig dieser Themenkomplex eigentlich ist.

Also die Größe des Videos passt sich automatisch an die Darstellungsgröße an. Auch Hochkantvideos werden nun *schöner* eingebettet.

Alles was man tun muss:

Nicht den allgemeinen Einbettungscode verwenden, sondern auf Weitere Individualisierungen klicken und dort Angepasste Einbettungauswählen.
