After exploring #R2E, I've decided it might not be the best fit for my needs. Here's why:
1. R2E doesn't support #Inoreader's #OPML format, requiring manual feed addition.
2. I realized I have many feeds and need a more comprehensive solution.
I'm now considering #Miniflux, which can manage #RSS feeds, #Podcasts, and #YouTube subscriptions in one place.
Until I get my #RaspberryPi for Christmas, I'm weighing two options:
1. Self-host Miniflux on my #Windows PC using #Docker
2. Use their $15/year hosted plan temporarily
Fellow #techies, especially those interested in #accessibility and #SelfHosting: What would you recommend? Your insights would be greatly appreciated!

Aah, new instance, new #Introduction post I guess.
I was on another instance that's closing down, so I've done the migration thing and decided to end up here.
As this server has the word 'hear' in the domain, and I'm a #Musician, it somehow seems fitting I do so.
I'm a #London-based musician that plays piano/keys, and finger-drumming also on keys.
I make #youtube videos on various things that interest me, make the #StroongeCast podcast with my wife, have two ridiculously amazing children and read voraciously. Being stereotypically British, I do like me a good cup of tea as well.
What genre I play is up for debate. Genres though, yes quite a few.
Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B, Reggae, Pop occasionally, Drum and Bass recently.
This is too long already, so I'll just end by saying links to projects in bio for the interested.

#Google claims to be an advertising company, but in the Czech republic their ads are FRAUD. It is bizarre to me that one of the largest companies in the word doesn't conduct legitimate business and instead is happy to defraud people through blatant lies. Reporting these ads does nothing.
The screenshot is of a "free electricity" fraudulent ad on #youtube. Shame on you google.
So... #Signal and #Wire, which both have issues, but not #Matrix / #XMPP? And for video, 2 #YouTube front ends and a proprietary YouTube clone, but no direct mention of #Peertube? And for Translation, the proprietary #Deepl, but no mention of the local and #Privacy respecting #Firefox #translate
I appreciate the intent of this post, but the research is... outdated at best.

Готовые средства обхода. Waujito написал своё решение под линукс (github.com/Waujito/youtubeUnbl…), которое направлено только на ютуб.
Также для Windows существует GoodbyeDPI от ValdikSS (github.com/ValdikSS/GoodbyeDPI), под линукс еще есть zapret (github.com/bol-van/zapret).
Существует ByeDPI (github.com/hufrea/byedpi), который работает как прокси (Windows/Linux). Также есть версия ByeDPI под андроид (github.com/dovecoteescapee/Bye…), работает как "фейковый впн".

The best future proof Solution would be, use YouTube less and at some Point don't use it at all anymore.
Make use of other Platforms that are free from Corporate greed, like PeerTube or similar.
Urge your favorite Creators to take Action and also use/upload elsewhere.
That would be the first Step on a longer Journey of freeing the Internet from greedy Companies. 😉
If you are in Europe, do file a complaint against #YouTube.
Under EU law they are not allowed to deploy #adblock detection technologies.

This is the latest #youtube "innovation". #Google with a market cap of $1.7 trillion and $120 billion cash on hand, "needs" to charge for ads on YouTube.
This is, of course, not true. They have more than enough revenue to run YouTube without ads in perpetuity, but they want to please shareholders. The #Peertube community is showing how you can distribute the costs of hosting content as well. If you don't support Google's continued monetization of monopolized video...vote with your feet.
